Does the Tortoise always win?

Who wins?

The tortoise represents the wise and consistent part of you

The Hare is the part of you seeking shortcuts who does everything at once and burns out… then takes a nap

The old story, so old it must be irrelevant right?

Yet in anything from lifting weights, to learning Japanese, consistency will always beat some fancy technique or innovative ā€œnewā€ thing.

What it really takes is dedication and devotion.

Willpower is like a muscle, sometimes it starts small with one glass of water a night… one episode of a japanese kids cartoon, five minutes… etc etc

and then while you’re doing it sometimes willpower looks like, ā€œone moreā€, ā€œjust one more then I’ll stopā€ until one more becomes ten or more…

So in the end the tortoise makes haste slowly… while the hare is slowly hasty.

So you decide Who will you let win?

And will they win the race you’re running?
